I hate that man and what he has done with "our" democracy

Holes in a Web of Budget Deceit (washingtonpost.com): "What's particularly ingenious about the administration's approach is that it throws out so many questionable claims at once that its opponents are left fuming, furious, sputtering -- and easily dismissed as 'Bush haters.'"

A Partial Explanation for the Wage Gap?

I have a sneaking suspition that when we add up all the money men genaerally spend on women - but can't count on in kind - we might find that women actually get more than men. For instance, if a man spends $100 per date (I mean dinner, dancing, movies, etc) that's money the woman has saved. Add up all the money spent by men on dates, subtract money spent by women on dates, and I suspect you'll end up with billions a year spent on the ladies. That should be added to the balance sheet when tallying not just wage differences but overall income from all sources.

Here's another one from the NY Times:

Eighty-three percent of the brides in the United States say that they want a diamond engagement ring - and their grooms, in turn, spent $4.3 billion last year on them. And diamonds have spread well beyond engagement rings.

FCC Aims to Speed Evaluation of Indecency Complaints

"We will continue this campaign and do everything in our power to shed light on the utterly incomprehensible polices of the FCC," said L. Brent Bozell III, president of the Parents Television Council, which monitors television programming and encourages its more than 1 million members to inundate the FCC with indecency complaints via e-mail. In the days following last year's Super Bowl, PTC members sent a half-million complaints to the FCC.

TeleNazis Rule US Airwaves

Fox and the NFL Return the Super Bowl to its Rightful Owners: American Families
What if American people got off their asses and made the FCC returned the airwaves to their rightful owners: the American People. Not just a handful of pin-headed, pea-brained, hyperconservative Jesus Freaks. The PTV and it's 1 mil. members are responsible for 99.8% of the increas in complaints to the FCC which due to these compaints has forced broadcasters to show nothing but 7th Heaven.
